Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at Abundant Life Assembly in Grenada for Johnny Will O’Bryant, 85, of Grenada, who died on Monday, Nov. 15, at his daughter, Lilac Shipp’s, home. Burial will follow in Haven’s Rest Cemetery in Grenada. The Rev. Dr. Linda Lane will officiate.
Johnny was born on Dec. 23, 1935, the son of the late Ed and Lucy Bell O’Bryant. He was a graduate of Grenada Colored High School, a retired factory worker and a member of Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Church in Grenada.
In addition to his parents, his sister, Lucy M. Eiland, and brothers, L.D. O’Bryant Sr. and Debutcher O’Bryant, preceded Johnny in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Lillie M. O’Bryant; daughters, Linda J. O’Bryant, Lilac F. Shipp and Vanessa O. Reynolds, all of Grenada, Valerie O. Ward of Houston, Texas, Jennifer D. O’Bryant of Olive Branch and Julie Ann Brown of Camden, Ark., and sons, Johnny Will Wright of Wooster, Ohio, and Johnny T. O’Bryant and Debutcher L. O’Bryant, both of Grenada.
Clark-Williams Funeral Home of Grenada is in charge of arrangements.
