Elizabeth Ann Beck

March 31,1947 – July 12, 2020 — Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Beck of Jefferson passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Tupelo on Sunday, July 12, 2020.

She was born in North Carrollton on March 31, 1947, and was 73 years old. She was retired from the U. S. Postal Service and was a member of Carrollton Baptist Church in Carrollton. Mrs. Beck was preceded in death by her son Andrew Beck.

Mrs. Beck is survived by her husband Ronnie Beck; daughter Lisa Nylander (Al); son Mark Beck (Tonda); sister Carolyn Pope (John); brothers, Floyd Noland and Melvin Noland (Jean); six grandchildren, Jared Nylander, Jenna Nylander, Erin Beck, Parker Beck (Bri), Kalee Beck and Alli Beck; one great-grandchild Kohen Beck (and one on the way); and many nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be held at Carrollton Baptist Church in Carrollton on Wednesday, July 15, with the Rev. Gary Roberson officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery at Jefferson, with her grandchildren serving as pallbearers. No visitation is planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to Carrollton Baptist Church in Carrollton; or to Gideons International.

Frederick E. ‘Butch’ Chamberlain

Frederick Everette (Butch) Chamberlain, 74, passed away July 13, 2020, at UMMC-Grenada.

Butch was born in Grenada on Nov. 24, 1945, to Clara Denley Chamberlain and F. E. (Tony) Chamberlain.

A graduate of John Rundle High School, he attended Mississippi State University and served in the Mississippi National Guard. He retired after working 45 years at Mississippi Valley Gas/Atmos Energy.

Mr. Chamberlain was a member of First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughters, Renee Chamberlain of Nashville and Karen Chamberlain of Acworth, Ga. He also leaves his sisters, Nancy Krecker (Don) of Marlton, N.J., and Mary Ann Mayhan of Grenada; his nephew Anthony (Megan) Mayhan, and two great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

No services will be held at this time.

The family wants to thank the staff at Grenada Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center for taking care of Butch for the last few years. The family would also like to thank the staff at UMMC-Grenada for their heartfelt, sincere compassion during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to Methodist Rehabilitation Center at 1350 East Woodrow Wilson Ave., Jackson, MS 39216.
