Teresa Lynn Alldread

Teresa Lynn Alldread, 55, of Cleveland, formerly of Grenada, died Saturday, July 4, 2020, at the Cleveland Nursing Home.
Funeral services were Wednesday, July 8, at the Mortimer National Funeral Home Chapel in Grenada.
Teresa was born on July 27, 1964, in Winona and was the daughter of the late Eddie and Frances Alldread.
Teresa is survived by two sisters, Angela Patridge of Kilmichael and Shelby Alldread of Grenada; one brother Bennie Alldread and his wife Crystal of Grenada; two nephews, Jeffery and Eric; two nieces, Sierra and Annsley; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorials may be made to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital or to the Angelman Syndrome Foundation.

Rose Devarenne, 85, of Grenada, formerly of Horn Lake and Waltham, Mass., died Thursday, July 9, 2020, in Grenada.  Funeral details and a complete obituary will be announced by McKibben and Guinn at a later date.
Llanda Bowles Geiger
A private service will be held at a later date for Llanda Bowles Geiger, 51, who died at her home on Monday, July 6, 2020.
Mrs. Geiger, a homemaker, was born July 3, 1969, in Mississippi. She was the daughter of Priscilla Sue Nelson Pittman of Enid and the late James Bowles. Her deceased spouse was Bryan Geiger.
Other survivors include daughters Melissa Dunn of Charleston,  and Felicia Dunn of Grenada; sister Regina Hood of Enid; brothers, Dickie Bowles of Charleston, Charles Gazaway of Oakland and Allen Lancaster of Arlington, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

Mary Allen George

A graveside service for Mary Allen George of Grenada was held Friday, July 10, at Haven Rest Cemetery.
Mrs. George, 95, died of natural causes at her home on July 6, 2020. She was born on Feb. 5, 1925.
Mrs. George is survived by two daughters, Edna Rice and Annie Hankins, both of Grenada;  a son William H. George of Memphis; and two sisters, Lillie Pearl Taylor of Lockport, Ill., and Luella Avery of Joliet, Ill..

Allen Kirk

A graveside service for Allen “AV” Kirk was held on Monday, July 6, at Community Baptist Church Cemetery in Scobey.
Mr. Kirk died on June 30, 2020. He was born on Nov. 6, 1957. Mr. Kirk was employed at Modine in Grenada for 36 years. While there he served as a group leader and supervisor.   Mr. Kirk was a member of the Charleston High School Class of 1976 and a soldier in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed telling jokes, hunting, watching westerns, and spending time with his family.
Mr. Kirk is survived by his wife Ethal Kirk; daughter Yashica Coffey;  son Alan Kirk;  four sisters, Maxcine Tanner of Grenada, Millie F. Durant and Deanna F. Hartley, both of Tillatoba, and Dora Reed of Coffeeville; and one brother Sylvester Kirk of Cleveland.

Benjamin F. Moss

A graveside service for Benjamin Franklin “Beman,” “Ben” Moss of Grenada was Saturday, July 11, at Mt. Zion M. B. Church cemetery in Hardy.
Mr. Moss died on July 3, 2020. He was born on July 24, 1937. Mr. Moss enlisted in the United States Army in 1954 and proudly served his country until 1957.
Mr. Moss is survived by his wife Mattie Moss;  six children, Fannie, Diane, Benjamin Jr., Timothy, Deadra and Ladell;  two brothers, Jack Moss of Detroit and Thomas Moss of Grenada; and three sisters, Mildred Love of Detroit, Dora Devan of Denver, Colo., and Linda Ford of Memphis.

Robbie Carver Ray

Mrs. Robbie Carver Ray, 99, of Texas, formerly of Grenada, passed away July 5, 2020.
She was born Jan. 17, 1921, to William Samuel Jr. and Nancy Holland Carver in Holcomb. Mrs. Ray was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the owner of the Children’s Boutique.
Funeral services were Friday, July 10, at McKibben & Guinn Funeral Service.  Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Ray is survived by her sons, Eddie Ray (Evelyn) of Greenwood and Ron C. Ray (Helen) of Gustine, Texas; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Edward Wayne Ray; her daughter Rebecca Ray Kunz; her siblings, Willie Brewer, Douglas Carver, Glen Carver, Sue Mullen, Floy Betts, Margaret Hix and Jack Carver.
Pallbearers were Jerry Carver, Kenny Carver, Larry Carver, Brant Godbold, Cameron McSpaden and Scott Ray.
Memorials may be made to The First United Methodist Church.

Mary Catherine Williams

Mary Catherine Williams, 69, of Holcomb died Monday, July 6, 2020, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Graveside services were Wednesday, July 8, at the Holcomb Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was born on Feb. 26, 1951, and was the daughter of the late Lonnie Lee and Annie Inez Melton Lee. She was a homemaker.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James Lee Williams; and one sister Evie Ann Harrison.
She is survived by one daughter Kathy Hillman and her husband Robert of Pearl; two grandchildren, Andrew Jackson, Kaitlyn Jackson and her boyfriend Josh Manning; one sister Deborah Smith of Amory; and two brothers, Calvin Lee of Amory and Curtis Lee of Charleston.
