Masks must be worn in businesses; city sets curfew

The Grenada City Council passed a resolution tonight requiring customers and employees to wear masks in businesses. This resolution is scheduled to take effect Wednesday morning at 7.
Ward Three City Councilman Lewis Johnson made the motion, and Ward Two Councilman Pete Wilson seconded it. The vote passed 6-0.
The city council also implemented a 10 o’clock curfew for all city residents starting Wednesday.
Ward One City Councilman Warren Cox made the motion, which was followed by a second from Ward Six Councilman Larry Vance. The vote passed 6-0.
The curfew and masks were ordered in an effort to slow the recent spikes of COVID-19.
Ward Seven Councilman Ronnie Merriman was absent.
