A private graveside service for Kelcy C. “Butch” Briscoe Jr., 73, of Grenada, was held Monday, March 30, at Wayside Cemetery near Scobey.
A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
Butch died Thursday, March 26, 2020, at the Greenwood-Leflore Hospital.
He was born on June 9, 1946, in Biloxi and was the son of the late Kelcy Briscoe and Ruby Jarvis Briscoe.
Through the course of his life, Butch worked at Pennaco Hosiery Mill, Grocery Basket, Long’s Flowers and Shoney’s, all in Grenada. He attended Faith Fellowship Church in Grenada.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister Beverly Briscoe.
He is survived by one sister Betty McDaniel and her husband Greg of Marks; two nephews, Gregory McDaniel of Oxford and Joseph McDaniel of Marks; and two nieces, Kelly Polsgrove and Angie Harper, both of Paducah, Ky.

Patricia Doles Hipp

 A family graveside service for Patricia Doles Hipp, 67, of Grenada, will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 2, in Grenada Memorial Gardens.
A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
Patricia died Monday, March 30, 2020, at her home.
She was born on Nov. 23, 1952, in Grenada and was the daughter of the late Carl Frank Doles and Annie Victoria McAnally Doles.
Patricia was employed by Bain Manufacturing in Grenada as a machine operator until her retirement. She was a member Hebron Baptist Church in Grenada.
Mrs. Hipp was preceded in death by her parents and by one sister Evelyn Hardin.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years and 8 months, Tommy Hipp of Grenada; two sons, Randy Hipp of Grenada and Michael Hipp and his wife Rebecca of Arlington, Tenn.; one sister Libby Austin of Tillatoba; three grandchildren, Morgan, Mia and Cooper Hipp, all of Arlington; and one sister-in-law Martha Johnson of Grenada.
