Grenada Food Pantry Day Saturday; mobile distribution only

Statement from Grenada Food Pantry
As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to spread globally and throughout the United States, we are taking proactive measures to protect the health and well-being of our staff, volunteers and neighbors as we remain committed to serve our community.
While the challenges we face are changing daily the Food Pantry plans to serve our neighbors to the best of our ability during this crisis. As developments arise, we will continue to monitor the situation and act in accordance with state and local authorities, CDC recommendations, and guidance from the Feeding America network.
With that being said, the Grenada Food Pantry will have MOBILE DISTRIBUTION ONLY this Saturday, March 28, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the location by the Grenada Police Department and City Auditorium. ALL recipients will drive through on Green Street.
Those who do not have the BLUE 2019-2020 ID card must show us proof of income, something showing residency in Grenada County, a photo ID and names and ages for any others you are claiming. We will not issue new cards this month.
Volunteers are needed on Thursday, March 26, from 9 a.m. until noon for bagging of the groceries and on Saturday, distribution day, from 7:30 to 10 a.m.
If you have questions, please call Kim McRee at 662-417-6210 or Pat Havens at 404-435-1290 or contact us on our Facebook page –  Grenada Food Pantry.
NOTE: We ask all volunteers and recipients to stay home if they do not feel well or experience any symptoms of illness, or if they have traveled to high-risk locations within the last 14 days.
