Robert H. (Bob) Bennett

Friends and family of Robert H. (Bob) Bennett are invited to attend a come and go memorial service on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Home.
His children would love to hear memories of Bob and want to thank all that loved him.
Mr. Bennett passed away Feb. 4, 2019, at his home. Bob was born Dec. 7, 1956, in Grenada to Houston and Olene Bennett.  Bob worked for the City of Grenada for several years before the progression of McArdle’s Disease stopped him from having the strength and stability to continue his work.
One aspect of his work with the city was the creation of scaled-down buildings reflecting the various businesses around the Square in Grenada. These were on display as part of the city’s Christmas decorations. Prior to working with the city, he worked with his father in home construction. Bob was also a well-trained trim carpenter and had excelled in that work for several years.
Bob was preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by a daughter Kirby Vaught (Sam) of Brandon and a son, Nicholas Bennett of Columbus.
He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Hayes Vaught (7) and Ollie Vaught (3) of Brandon.

Jimmy Dale Eskridge

Funeral services for Jimmy Dale “Spoon” Eskridge of Duck Hill were Sunday, Jan. 26, at Wilkins’ Chapel M.B. Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mr. Eskridge, 73, died of cancer at his home on Jan. 22, 2020.  He was born on July 21, 1946. Mr. Eskridge was a factory worker at Modine for 52 years before retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Eskridge is survived by his wife Perine Eskridge of Duck Hill;  four daughters, Patricia Brown of Winona, Hope Brown and Sherron Patton, both of Duck Hill, and Mary Daniels of Kilmichael;  and two sons, Jimmy Eskridge of Kilmichael and George Eskridge of Duck Hill.

Jimmy Edward Pyle

Mr. Jimmy Edward Pyle, 81, of Grenada, passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2020, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 28, 1938, in Montgomery County to Eddie Lee and Rosella Bain Pyle. He was a retired cattleman and had worked for a number of years at Pioneer Packaging Co. in Grenada. Jimmy was a member of First Baptist Church – Grenada and had honorably served our country in the US Army.
A service to celebrate his life was held Monday, Jan. 27, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Dr. Jim Nunnelee.
Survivors include two daughters, Perryolyn Beavers (Wayne) of Grenada and Nandra Jackson (Raymond) of Ocean Springs; one sister Winnie Pyle Wynn of Memphis; one brother L.C. Pyles of Duck Hill; and three grandchildren, Judson Teal Jackson, Roxie Anna Sara Jackson and Madelynn Rayne Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Shirley Ann Perry Pyle.

Willie Raleigh Schultz Jr.

Mr. Willie Raleigh Schultz Jr., 75, of Olive Branch, passed away Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020, at the Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis.
He was born Oct. 9, 1944, in Grenada to Willie Raleigh and Sue Helen Anthony Schultz. Raleigh was a graduate of John Rundle High School and Delta State University.  He was also a member of First Baptist Church of Grenada and had honorably served our country in the Mississippi National Guard.  Raleigh was a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason.  Raleigh spent the early part of his working life employed at Union Planters Bank and the National Bank of Commerce. He ultimately retired after working many years selling Bank Security Equipment.
A time of remembrance will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service.
Survivors include his wife Michele Harcrow Schultz; one daughter Yvette Schultz Boyd of Hernando; one son Will Schultz of Memphis and two granddaughters, Kayla Boyd and Chauna Boyd.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
