The broken water line in east Grenada has been repaired, but the 2,000-plus customers affected remain on a boil water notice until further notice.
According to Water Superintendent Benji Howard, water samples were sent to the Mississippi State Department of Health Monday, and once tested. the boil water notice will likely be lifted today or Wednesday.
“We really appreciate the public’s patience during this event, and we thank you for your cooperation,” Howard said. “We will notify the public once the notice is lifted.”
A water line on the City of Grenada’s eastern line broke Thursday night, and affected customers along Highway 8 East from Bogue Creek to Wildlife League Road.
