A boil water notice has been issued to residents and customers on the City of Grenada’s eastern water system.
The boil water notice is effective immediately for residents and customers along Highway 8 East of Bogue Creek to Wildlife League Road, according to one water official.
Water Superintendent Benji Howard said the notice was caused by water line break.
“We haven’t located the break just yet, and we’re still looking for it,” Howard said. “The areas affected are east of Bogue Creek and include both elementary schools, Futheyville, Eagle Crest, Rolling Oaks, Pine Crest, Knoxville and farther east to Wildlife League Road.”
Under the boil water notice, Howard urges customers to boil their water at least one minute before consumption.
