With the fall months just around the corner, heat advisories are still being issued in September to warn people of the dangers of humid temperatures this week.
Temperatures reached the high-90 degree mark all of last week and are expected to continue to climb during the next few days. Heat indexes also reached the triple digits over the past few days.
According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, heat and humidity will continue in the south with heat indexes approaching 110 in some locations, and the average high for the week will be 96 degrees.
