Anne Louise Caffey

Funeral services for Anne Louise Caffey of Duck Hill, formerly of Oakland, Calif., are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Duck Hill M. B. Church with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Mrs. Caffey, 80, known as “Mother Caffey”, died at UMMC–Grenada on Aug. 9, 2019. She was born on Oct. 3, 1938.  Mrs. Caffey was a former school teacher.  She served on the Mother Board and Usher Board, sang in the choir, and was a youth leader for her church. Mrs. Caffey enjoyed cooking, listening to gospel music, reading, and writing for the newspaper.
Mrs. Caffey is survived by two sisters, Shernell Everett and Willola Brown, both of Duck Hill; and one brother Percy Brown Jr. of Richmond, Calif.

Patricia Suddoth Hudson

Funeral services for Patricia Suddoth Hudson of Grenada will be Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, at First New Hope Missionary Baptist Church at 1 p.m.
Mrs. Hudson 58, died at her residence on Aug.7, 2019. She was born June 19 1961.
Mrs. Hudson is survived by her husband Emmanuel Hudson, her mother Bettie Suddoth; four daughters, Mary Suddoth, Amanda Hudson, and Jessica Hudson, all of Grenada; Jacqueline Hudson of Cape Coral, Fla.; eight grandchildren; five sisters, Joyce McCoy of Indianapolis, Teresa Bernard and Pamela Frost, both of Grenada; Cassandra Hawkins of Arlington, Tenn., and Chandra Faye Reed of Decatur, Ill..;  brother Emanuel Suddoth Jr. of Memphis.

Louise Collins Lott

Funeral services for Louise “Sull” Collins Lott are Saturday at 3 p.m. at Faith and Grace M. B. Church with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Bryant.
Mrs. Lott, 75, died of natural causes at Grenada Living Center on Aug. 12, 2019. She was born on Aug. 28, 1943. Mrs. Lott was a graduate of Carrie Dotson High School and was a former housekeeper.
Mrs. Lott is survived by her husband Senator Lott of Grenada;  five daughters, Cindy P. Davis, Cindy P. Lott and Gilda D. Lott, all of East St. Louis, Ill., Angela G. Lott of Belleville, Ill., and Deona Wilson of Grenada; two sons, Ellis Collins of Federal Way, Wash., and Senator Lott Jr. of Centreville; two sisters, Maggie Lee Jones and Mildred Jones, both of Grenada;  and two brothers, Ernest Collins of Hattiesburg and Lorenzo Haywood of Chicago.

Bob C. Orsburn

Mr. Bob C. Orsburn, 84, died Aug. 12, 2019, at Oxford Health and Rehab in Oxford.
Services were Thursday at Anchor Baptist Church, Water Valley.
Mr. Orsburn is survived by his wife Elizabeth Orsburn of Oxford; two daughters, Lisa Smith of Belden and Miriam Kripp of Gore Springs; one son Bobby C. Orsburn Jr. of Oxford; five granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Orsburn was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton Orsburn and Myrtle Orsburn; and one sister Sue Elder.

Andrew Taylor Tharp

Funeral services for Andrew Taylor Tharp of Winona were Wednesday at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Winona Garden of Memory.
Andrew, 14, died at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson on Aug. 7, 2019. He was born in Grenada on Dec. 17, 2004. Andrew was a student at Winona Montgomery Consolidated School District.
Andrew is suvived by his parents, Charlotte Wilson of Winona and Stephen Tharp (Karah) of Winona; sister, Tiffany Lawrence of Winona; brothers, Zane Lawrence of Winona and Ashton Tharp of Winona; maternal grandparents, Mark and Cheryl Bell and Christopher Wilson; paternal grandfather Jerry Tharp; maternal great-grandmothers,  Alice Blakely and Sharon Shirley; and paternal great-grandmother Sybil Tharp.

Mr. Willis, 83, died at his home on Aug. 7, 2019. He was born on April 4, 1936. Mr. Willis enjoyed working, going to church and spending time with his family.
