Eddie Mae Liddell-Davis

Funeral services for Eddie Mae Liddell-Davis of Grenada, formerly of Joliet, Ill., are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Burning Bush M.B. Church with burial in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis, 89, died at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford on July 11, 2019. She was born on July 8, 1930. Mrs. Davis enjoyed cooking, traveling, and had a “green thumb.”

Mrs. Davis is survived by five daughters, Marie L. Harris of League City, Texas, Elaine Davis of Seabrook, Texas, Mary Ann Davis of Joliet, Ill., Annette Davis Love of Grenada, and Shawn Guy of Mableton, Ga.; three sons, Clarence Davis of Joliet, Ill., Albert Davis of Memphis and John Davis of Grenada; two sisters, Earlie Liddell and Florence Liddell-Black, both of Grenada; and one brother James Liddell of Grenada.

Cora Lee Fisher

Funeral services for Cora Lee Fisher of Grenada are Friday at 11 a.m. at Greater Pine Hill M. B. Church with burial in Haven Rest Cemetery.

Mrs. Fisher, 89, died at her daughter’s home on July 8, 2019. She was born on Sept. 17, 1929. Mrs. Fisher loved to cook, fish and sew.

Mrs. Fisher is survived by her daughter Pernesser Bowdry of Grenada; two sisters, Maggie Latham of Grenada and Annie M. Ross of San Diego, Calif.; and four brothers, Fred Fobbs and W.C. Fobbs, both of Chicago; George Fobbs of Bellwood, Ill., and Ben House of Memphis.

Loretta Brown Harris

Funeral services for Maudine Loretta “Ret” Brown Harris of Duck Hill are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Abundant Life Assembly of the Apostolic Faith Church in Grenada with burial in Binford Cemetery in Duck Hill.

Mrs. Harris, 64, died on July 13, 2019. She was born on Sept. 3, 1954. Mrs. Harris was a retired science teacher with the Grenada School District. She was a graduate of the Class of 1972 at Duck Hill High School and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Jackson State University. She was a member of the Jackson State University Alumni Association, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, was a former church clerk and choir member. Mrs. Harris enjoyed shopping online, talking on the phone and Facebook.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her daughter Brittne Harris of Southhaven; her granddaughter Harper Jade Hardiman of Southhaven; three sisters, Anne Caffey, Shernell Everett and Willola Brown, all of Duck Hill; and brother Percy Brown Jr. of Richmond, Calif.

Sarah McComb Hicks

Funeral services for Sarah M. Hicks are Monday at 2 p.m. at Household of Faith Church with burial in Embry Cemetery.

Mrs. Hicks, 55, died at Webster General Hospital on July 15, 2019. She was born on June 23, 1964. Mrs. Hicks enjoyed cooking and singing.

Mrs. Hicks is survived by her mother Mary McComb; three daughters, Constance McComb, Melissa Williams, and Tracy McComb; two sons, Jarvis McComb and Brian McComb; three sisters, Mary Gill, Pam Embry and Kysandra McComb; and four brothers, Robert McComb, Kenneth Knightner, Ronald McComb and Richard McComb.
