Oct. 20, 1941 – June 25, 2019. Peggy Braswell, 77, of Grenada passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.
A visitation for Mrs. Braswell was held on Thursday at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona, followed by a graveside service at at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery near Poplar Creek. The Rev. Brent Barker officiated the service.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Harrison, Lamar Harrison, Thomas Harrison, Taylor Worsham, Bradley Sanford, Ryan Melton, and Dewey Braswell, with Jeremy Braswell serving as honorary pallbearer.
Mrs. Braswell was born in Webster County on Oct. 20, 1941, to Vernon and Pattie Cannon Goines. Her father died when she was very young, and she was raised by her stepfather Jesse Williams. Mrs. Braswell was the retired owner and manager of Goodyear Tire and Appliance in Grenada, was a Baptist, and attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest M. Braswell; her parents and stepfather; and a brother Terry Williams.
Mrs. Braswell is survived by three daughters, Sherry B. Worsham (Lee) of Grenada, Cindy Sanford (Michael) of Grenada, and Tina Melton (Todd) of Saltillo; brother Jesse Williams Jr. of Eupora; three grandchildren, Taylor Worsham (Kelsey), Bradley Sanford, and Ryan Melton; and a great-grandson Bryson Worsham.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Poplar Springs Cemetery Fund.

Miss Kathryn French, 80, of Coffeeville, long-time accountant with BellSouth, died Tuesday evening at Grenada Health and Rehab.

David Lee Kincaide
Funeral services for David Lee “Big Louwee” Kincaide of Coffeeville are Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Mount Moriah Building with burial in United Cemetery.
Mr. Kincaide, 66, died of natural causes at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis on June 21, 2019. He was born on April 14, 1953. Mr. Kincaide was employed with Yalobusha Lumber company and enjoyed fishing, gardening, yard work, scrap-ironing and making people laugh.
Mr. Kincaide is survived by his wife Oudia Kincaide of Coffeeville; two daughters, Angela Kincaide Barnes of Louisville, Ky., and Linda Kincaide of Coffeeville; two sons, Danny Kincaide of Omaha, Neb., and William Robinson of Memphis; four sisters, Verise Welch of Calhoun City, Mary Ann Kincaide of New Jersey, Clottee Spearman and Rosie Marion, both of Coffeeville; and two brothers, Wesley Kincaide and John Allen Kincaide, both of Coffeeville.

Virginia Rogers Reese
Mrs. Virginia Lynn Rogers Reese, 69, of Grenada, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center-Grenada.
She was born March 10, 1950, and was a member of Wayside Baptist Church. She had worked for many years at Pennaco Hosiery, at the Grenada School District in the cafeteria and as a bus driver, and most recently at Walgreen’s.
Funeral services were Wednesday at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with the Rev. Bennie Vance officiating. Interment was in the Smith Cemetery at Rosebloom.
Survivors include her husband Thomas Reese; three daughters, Laura Lynn Reese Kendall (Johnny), Teresa Anne Macon and Tammy Renee Reese Timbs (Brian Follett), all of Grenada; four sisters, Beverly Ann Rogers Hollis of Rosebloom, Ramona Rogers Pressgrove of Southaven, Amy Vance Floyd of Grenada and Pam Rogers Linder of Missouri; one brother Ronnie Rogers of Missouri; step-mother Alice Manbeck of Missouri; eight grandchildren, Jessica Bryant, Bryan Kendall, Rebecca Busby, Andy Jackson, Kasey Kendall, Jodi Timbs, Emily Follett and Nikki Follett; nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother Bessie Belle McCammon Vance; father Leslie Benoid Rogers and her step-father Sam Vance.
Pallbearers were Daniel Bryant, Jeff Floyd, Brian Follett, George Kendall Jr., Greg Kendall, Daniel Pressgrove, Michael Pressgrove, James Terrell Reese and Jamie Schwalenburg.
