Grenada County Coroner “Skeeter” Robinson is now facing additional charges stemming from funeral home transactions that date back 15 years.
Eddie “Skeeter” Robinson III, of Grenada County, was arrested Monday on a 14-count indictment accusing him of selling unfunded, prepaid funeral plans without a license, collecting burial insurance premiums without a license, and other related charges.
The charges are in an indictment handed down by the Grenada County Grand Jury.
Robinson is currently out on a $100,000 bond.
Robinson told the GrenadaStar he “did not have a comment at this time.”
According to the nine-page indictment filed in Grenada County Circuit Court, Robinson, 51, is charged with five counts of insurance fraud, three counts of false pretense, four counts of embezzlement, one count of conspiracy and one count of wire fraud.
