Martha L. Hall
Funeral services for Martha L. Hall of Holcomb are Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Life Church with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Hall, 88, died of cancer at her home on May 22, 2019. She was born on Feb. 22, 1932. Mrs. Hall was a former caregiver and enjoyed gardening.
Mrs. Hall is survived by five daughters, Rosie H. Brown, Yvonne Johnson, Earsie L. Mays and Gloria Jones, all of Grenada, and Regina Boclair of Holcomb; two sons, R.C. Hall Jr. and Gregory L. Hall, both of Holcomb; six sisters, Erma Gentry, Dorothy Conley, Annie Fae Loggin and Zylvia Swims, all of Holcomb; Mary Alice Pryor of Texas and Mary Ann Anthony of Greenwood; and one brother Lonnie Loggin, Jr. of New York.

Deborah Hill Hardin
Mrs. Deborah Kaye Hill Hardin, 64, of Holcomb, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford.
She was born Sept. 30, 1954, in Grenada to W.T. and Frances Manley Hill. She was a devoted homemaker and a member of Holcomb Baptist Church. Deborah will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services were Tuesday, May 28, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Interment was in the Holcomb Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years Duane Hardin; one daughter Kristy Pena of Holcomb; one son Shane Hardin of Holcomb; her mother Frances “Mama” Hill of Holcomb; three sisters, Jean Parker, Lynda McCalop and Carol Holland, all of Holcomb; a brother Billy Hill of Duck Hill; four grandchildren, Lindsay Hardin, Kaylin Hardin, Mason Hardin and Journee Pena; one great-grandchild D.J. Young and a niece that she loved like a daughter, Amy Vance.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Pallbearers were Calop Brown, Joey Brown, Jamie Freeman, Eddie Holland, Ryan Jennings and Chuck Parker.
Memorials may be directed to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital.

Funeral services for Tyronzia Ford of Grenada are Saturday at 11 a,m. at Bethel Cathedral of Faith with burial in Haven Rest Cemetery.
Mr. Ford, 58, died of natural causes at UMMC-Grenada on May 23, 2019. He was born on April 22, 1961. Mr. Ford enjoyed taking walks.
Mr. Ford is survived by his son Tobias Ford and three brothers, Robert Ford, Lagary Ford, and Petoria Ford.

The Rev. Dr. Perry L. Montgomery
The Rev. Dr. Perry Louis Montgomery, 85, of Woodland passed at his residence on May 24, 2019.
He was born Feb. 28, 1934, in Montpelier, Miss. Dr. Montgomery was the former pastor of the First New Hope M.B. Church in Grenada for 50 years. He was the past president of the Greater Grenada Ministerial Alliance. He worked in the Grenada School District where he served as a teacher, counselor, principal, and first African American assistant superintendent.
Dr. Montgomery provided worship services at the local nursing homes in Grenada on Saturday mornings and live radio tapings of the First New Hope Sunday morning worship services. He was founder and owner of Montgomery Mortuary in Houston, Miss.
Dr. Montgomery is survived by his wife of 65 years Carrie Davidson Montgomery of Woodland; two sons the Rev. Melvin (Barbara) Montgomery of Grenada and Kennedy Montgomery of Woodland; three daughters, Shirley Morgan of Tupelo, Barbara (the Rev. Jessie) Foote of Woodland and Jeanette (the Rev. Eddie) Longstreet of West Point.
Visitation is Friday, May 31, from 3-6 p.m. at Montgomery Mortuary in Houston. Services are Saturday June 1, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Ridge M.B. Church in Woodland. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
