Lewis Brooks

Funeral services for Lewis “Silver Fox” Brooks, 69, of Coffeeville will be Saturday, May 4, at 11 a.m., at Bethel Cathedral of Faith Church in Grenada.
Burial will be at Bogue Cemetery in Leland. Brooks died April 29 in Grenada.
Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. Friday at Century Funeral Home in Greenwood.

James Lewis Collins

Funeral services for James Lewis “Bud” Collins of Grenada are Saturday at 1 p.m. at Jackson Chapel M.B. Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mr. Collins, 66, died of cancer at Grenada Living Center on April 24, 2019. He was born on February 5, 1953. Mr. Collins was a laborer and enjoyed fishing, dressing up and listening to music.
He is survived by four sisters, Shirley Collins of Oak Park, Ill., Linda Collins and Josephine Rosenthal, both of Cascilla, and Elizabeth Chamberlain of Charleston; and three brothers, Anthony Collins of Grenada, Roy Simpson of Charleston and Mack Simpson of Enid.

Tereasa Elaine Lyons

Funeral services for Tereasa Elaine “Tee” Lyons of Memphis, formerly of Grenada, are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Rest COGIC.
Mrs. Lyons, 56, died at her home on April 24, 2019. She was born on Jan. 23, 1963. Mrs. Lyons attended Jackson State University and enjoyed cooking and decorating.
Mrs. Lyons is survived by three daughters, Dominique Lyons,  Ashley Lyons and Tarryn Lyons, all of Memphis; son Johnny Lyons of Memphis; eight sisters, Mattie Bledsoe, Cora Caldwell and Ruthie White, all of Coffeeville; Florence Walton of Oakland, Ruby Boone of Grenada, Mary A. Jones of Charleston, S.C., Mable Holmes of New York and Willie M. McLemore of Chicago; six brothers, Wade Spearman, Henry Jenkins, and Terry Jenkins, all of Grenada; Joe Jenkins of Oakland, John Jenkins of Arkansas and Eddie Horton of Coffeeville.

Fannie Monger

Funeral services for Fannie Monger of Grenada are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Abundant Life Assembly of the Apostolic Faith.
Mrs. Monger died at UMMC–Jackson on May 1, 2019.

Billie Faye Nail

Mrs. Billie Faye Nail, 77, of Grenada, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at her daughter’s residence in Cleveland.
She was born Oct. 16, 1941, in Montgomery County to Herbert Jefferson and Lola Fay Jordan Marter. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she was the church secretary and taught in the nursery. She was also formerly employed by AAA Cooper. Billie Faye was a devoted wife to Sonny and was a wonderful cook.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Grenada. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the funeral home.
Survivors include daughter Tracy Swafford (Ronald) of Cleveland; son Mark Nail (Carol Ann) of New Albany; two sisters, Shelby H. Harrison of Laurel Hill, Fla.; and Diane M. Jones of Southaven; five grandchildren, Jonathan Mark Nail, Jefferson Chandler Nail, Parker Regan Nail, Kyle Sheldon Swafford and Katherine Corinne Swafford; beloved sister-in-laws, Willie Paul Dubois and Francis Hunter; and one nephew James Henry Carpenter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Walter Thurl “Sonny” Nail.
Memorials may be made to the Gideons or Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Mark Nail, Jefferson Chandler Nail, Parker Regan Nail, Kyle Sheldon Swafford, Jay Carpenter and Ted Wolfe. Honorary pallbearers will be James Henry Carpenter and James Irby Franklin.

Elijha Noel

Funeral services for Elijha “Sonnny” Noel of Grenada, formerly of Gary, Ind.,.are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Kingdom Hall with burial in Haven Rest Cemetery.
Mr. Noel, 80, died at Greenwood Leflore Hospital on April 23, 2019. He was born on Nov. 3, 1939.
Elijha enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Noel is survived by his wife Bonnette Noel of Grenada; two daughters, Greta Noel and Latonia Burks, both of Gary Ind.; two sons, Gary Burnette and Lester Burnette, both of Gary, Ind.; and sister Bobbie Noel of Texas.
