High water at Grenada Lake will play a major role in this year’s Thunder on Water as committee members are being forced to do some moving around.
The 26th annual Thunder on Water is scheduled for June 12-16, and according to Wanda Roche, chairman for the TOW Committee, several events will be moved due to continued monitoring by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
“This is at the request of the Corps,” Roche said. “Because the lake level is not expected to improve, we will be relocating the events of Thunder on Water to the concert field across from the airport.”
Roche said the dates and times will remain the same for each event.
The carnival, food vendors, arts and crafts, balloon and helicopter rides, will all be at the concert field, and Thunder committee members are currently putting the finishing touches to this year’s events.
