Winning four of their first five games to open the season, the Grenada Lady Chargers opened the division schedule Thursday at home against the Lafayette Lady Commodores.
Grenada fell behind early 2-0. They would rally with a run in the second and add four in the third holding on for a 5-2 win.
With the win, GHS improves to 5-1 on the season.
“I thought we got off to a slow start,” Coach Leslie Lancaster said. “We were able to put the ball in play and make some things happen. Anytime, you can win the opening division game, it’s a good thing.”
