GHS tennis opens with victories

The Grenada High School tennis team is in full action playing matches around wet conditions.
They opened with a 7-0 win over Cleveland Central. Against Tupelo, GHS was on the short end of a 6-1 decision.
Tuesday, the Chargers had an easy 7-0 win over South Panola.
Against the Tigers, GHS did not lose a game.
Tia Topps was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Lucy McCain in girls singles.
Webb Roberts won 6-2, 7-5 against Spencer Davis.
In doubles play, Naomi Wise and Carson Lollar were a 6-1, 6-0 winner over Mary Grace Dickerson and Reiss Farris. Allie Holland and Evey Moore won 6-0, 6-0 against Anna Stuart and Leilynn Farris.
Bratton Willoughby and Phillip Chandler cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 match win over Logan Cossey. Tanner Vance and Arlon Wise won 6-0, 6-2 against Eli Standard and Ben Smith.
The mixed doubles match saw Micah Williams and Heidi Clark down Mason Cox an Shelby Spriggs by scores of 6-0, 6-0.
