Daniel T. Brunty

Funeral services for Daniel T. “Skip” Brunty of Eupora are Monday at noon at Eupora High School Auditorium with burial in Eupora Churchill Cemetery.
Mr. Brunty, 40, died on March 3, 2019. He was born on Jan. 21, 1979. Mr. Brunty was a journalist.
Mr. Brunty is survived by his mother Ida M. Brunty of Eupora; brother Donje Brunty of Pass Christian; and finace Lacey Broussard.

Steven Wood Couch

Mr. Steven Wood Couch, 58, of Grenada, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford.
He was born March 10, 1960, in Greenwood to Joe and Lanelle Wood Couch. Steve was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, a member of First Baptist Church, Grenada, and had worked for many years with his family at Couch Realty as a Professional Commercial and Residential Appraiser.
Funeral services were Thursday at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada with the Rev. Eugene Heimbach officiating.  A private burial followed in the Woodlawn Memorial Park
Survivors include his wife Rosemary Heath Couch; one daughter Allison Frazier (Will) of Memphis; two granddaughters, Lila and Mary Frazier, both of Memphis; Austin Vance of Oxford; two brothers, Billy Joe Couch of Memphis and Jimmy Couch of Scobey; and his father and mother-in-law, Bobby and Jewel Heath; sister-in-law Debbie Hankins (Lee); uncle Sykes Wood; aunt Charlene Edmondson; and cousins, Sue Ann Edmondson Teer, Anita Jo Wood Byrd and Leta Wood.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a cousin Janet Edmondson Kinsey.
Pallbearers will be Chris Couch, Abbott Hankins, Joe Hankins, Sidney Martin, Jaxon Moore and Austin Vance.

Katherlean Diltz

Funeral services for Katherlean Diltz of Charleston are Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. John M. B. Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Diltz, 87, died at her home on Feb. 28, 2019. She was born on Jan. 16, 1932.
Mrs. Diltz is survived by three daughters, Mary Diltz, Edith McShane, and Yvette Diltz, all of Charleston. and son Charles Diltz of Elgin, Ill.

Bruce Gentry

A funeral service for Bruce Gentry of Winona was held Tuesday in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona.
Mr. Gentry, 73, died at his home on Monday, March 4, 2019. He was born in Webster County on June 11, 1945, to Edgar B. and Mary Cooke Gentry. He was a retired HVAC engineer and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, where he was awarded a Purple Heart and the Army Commendation Medal with a V Device. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Gentry is survived by his wife Anne W. Gentry of Winona; two sons, Lee Gentry and Allen Gentry, both of Jackson; two sisters, Connie Paeglow of Denver, Colo., and Amy Gentry of Memphis; two brothers, Terry Gentry of Memphis and Lynn Gentry of Denver, Colo.; and three grandchildren.

Marlee Marie Jones

Funeral services for Marlee Marie Jones of Winona were held Wednesday, March 6, at First Baptist Church in Winona.
Marlee was born on March 2, 1992, in Grenada to Brooks and Sandy Boyette Jones. She passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019.
Marlee was a 2010 graduate of Winona Christian School and a 2014 graduate of Holmes Community College. She was a nurse at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona and was a member of First Baptist Church in Winona. Marlee was a beautiful soul who was always smiling. She loved her family, her dog Bella, Younique Makeup, and “Going Live” with her makeup videos.
Marlee is survived by her parents, Brooks and Sandy Jones of Winona; her sister Ashley Jones White of Madison; one nephew; paternal grandfather Frank Jones of Poplar Creek; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mildred Boyette Matthews and Elbert Boyette; and her paternal grandmother Marie Brooks Jones.

Beverly Yvonne Taylor

Beverly Yvonne Taylor, 62, of Grenada, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at her residence.
She had worked for many years as a waitress at Shoney’s in Grenada and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service was conducted Thursday at the Grenada Memorial Garden.
Survivors include two sons, Jeremy Taylor and Jeffery Taylor, both of Grenada; one sister Annette Tartt (Bubba) of Grenada; one brother Robert Taylor of Grenada; one niece Marie Tartt, and a host of aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Geneva Taylor Jackson.

Cindy T. Whisby

Funeral services for Cindy T. Whisby, of Chicago, formerly of Grenada, are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Clark-Williams Funeral Home with burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Whisby died of natural causes at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago on Feb. 13, 2019. She was born on Aug. 10, 1972.
Ms. Whisby is survived by her mother Ruthie Wall of Chicago and step-father Robert Wall of Chicago; three children, Shannon Wilkerson of Chicago, Ricky Whisby and Deandre Winbush, both of Cleveland, Ohio; sisters, Monica Daniels of Grenada and Shantell Whisby of Chicago; brothers, Bobby Whisby Jr., Laverner Brown and Julius Brown, all of Chicago;  and grandmother Dorothy Briggs of Memphis.

Shelley Ann Wyatt

Shelley Ann Wyatt died Feb. 26, 2019, in Murphreesboro, Tenn., of natural causes.
Shelley was born on Nov. 4, 1954, in Fort Bragg, N.C. She is preceded in death by her mother Helen Pauline Richardson Wyatt and her father William L. Wyatt.
Survivors include her daughter Melanie Morgan of Atlanta; two grandsons, Christopher and Matthew, also of Atlanta; and a sister Wanda of Grenada.
A memorial service will be at a later date with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery in Grenada.
Music City Mortuary of Nashville was in charge.
