Two-out hits help Kirk get win

Sports Editor

One of the most important areas that coaches stress is getting two out hits to either keep an inning alive or score runs.
The Kirk Academy Raiders were able to do that in their season opener at Raider Field against Bruce High School.
Kirk scored six of its seven runs after two outs and came away with a 7-2 victory.
“It was fun to watch them have some success,” Coach Chris Rose said. “I thought one of the big keys in the game was the two out, two strike hits that we had in the game.”
