City asks planning board to limit vendor locations

One local business owner wants something done about transient vendors setting up for business directly in front of his store.
Lee Boone, owner of Mid-South Produce Company on Sunset Drive, spoke with the Grenada City Council Monday to discuss the problems he is having with vendors taking away his customers.
Boone said the problem is ongoing with vendors at the Fairground Road and Sunset Drive intersection, and most of the time they sell products that he similar to what he carries, such as fresh produce garden vegetables.
“This is money that probably will not be spent back into Grenada,” Boone said. “The people that are setting up are not from Grenada and are not investing here.”
