Danny Ray Austin

Mr. Danny Ray Austin, 69, of Tillatoba, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born Dec. 29, 1949, in Calhoun County to Edward and Christine Welker Austin. Danny was a retired shop foreman with Lehman Roberts and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services were Monday, Feb. 11, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with the Rev. Rickey Harris officiating. Interment was in the Austin Family Cemetery near Tillatoba.
Survivors include his wife Libby Doles Austin; one daughter Cricket Henson (David) of Grenada; four grandchildren, Hunter Rutland (Gina), Jordan Rutland, Logan Henson and Haygen Austin; two great-grandchildren, Miranda Kate Rutland and Amy Rae Rutland; one sister Jewel Robinson of New Albany; one brother Jackie Austin (Joyce) of Artesia and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Darrell Wayne Austin; sister Eloise Morgan; and brother Joe Ed Austin.
Pallbearers were Haygen Austin, David Henson, Logan Henson, Michael Hipp, Jamie Pruett, Justin Rowland and Hunter Rutland.

Benita Faye Cox

Services for Benita Faye Cox, 50, of Grenada, were Saturday, Feb. 9, at Abundant Life Church. Burial was at Haven Rest Cemetery.
Ms. Cox died on Feb. 2, 2019.
Skeeter Robinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pamela Ann Hayward

Funeral services for Pamela Ann Hayward, 50, of Holcomb, are at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Mortimer National Funeral Home Chapel in Grenada.
Visitation is Saturday from noon to 2 p.m., also at the funeral home.
Pam passed away peacefully at her home. She was born on Sept. 3, 1968, and was the daughter of William Monroe Owsley and Opal Kimbrough Owsley. Pam was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Pam is survived by her husband Bob Hayward of Holcomb; her daughter Anna Hayward (Stewart) of Oxford; her son Jeremy Hayward (Nikki) of Holcomb; her mother Opal Owsley of Grenada; her sister Billie Wynne of Grenada; and three grandchildren, Chloe, Hailey and Claire.

Norma Bond McCullough

Mrs. Norma Evelyn Bond Vinson McCullough, 80, of Coffeeville, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford.
She was born Nov. 8, 1938, in Liberty to Harry Milton and Mary Evelyn Reeves Bond. She had worked for many years as a receptionist in a doctor’s office and was a Baptist.
Funeral services were Sunday, Feb. 10, at Tangipahoa Baptist Church in Summit with the Rev. Craig Baker officiating. Interment was in the Butler Pray Cemetery in Amite County.
Survivors include her husband Sonny Glynn McCullough of Coffeeville; two sons, Bryan Keith McCullough (Amanda) and Jason Kevin McCullough (Brandi), both of Coffeeville; six grandchildren, Maeci McCullough, Benjamin McCullough, Kamryn McCullough, Wilson “Ab” McCullough, Eleana McCullough and Lucy Bea McCullough; three nieces, Linda Causey Conerly (Ricky) of Summit, Mary Jo Causey Robinett (Ron) of McComb and Barbara Ann Causey Wise (David) of Rogers, Ark.; four great-nieces and nephews, Sherrie Conerly, Chance Causey, Breanna Causey and Brittany Wise; and two great-great-nieces and nephews, Mason Conerly and Shelby Conerly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Fred Vinson; sister Barbara Ruth Causey; brother Carroll Bond and a nephew Christopher Causey.
Pallbearers were Chance Causey, Mason Conerly, Ricky Conerly, Ab McCullough, Ben McCullough, Jason McCullough and Bryan McCullough. James B. Dees and Rob Robinett were honorary pallbearers.

Martha Mullins Oates

Mrs. Martha Mullins Oates, 77, of Grenada, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 17, 1941, in Carrollton to J.D. and Annie Norris Mullins. She had worked for many years as a CNA and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services were Sunday at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with the Rev. John Goldwater and the Rev. Milton Whatley officiating. Interment was in the Elliott Cemetery.
Survivors include four daughters, Phoebe Green of Grenada, Tammy Perkins of Water Valley, Diane Hodges of Southaven and Darla Trusty of Grenada; two sons, James Winters and Earl Winters, both of Grenada; three sisters, Alice Farrell, Lucille Stallings and Darlene Winter; four brothers, Donnie Bell, Eddie Bell, Milton Whatley and Wayne Bell; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marion “Bubba” Oates; two sisters, Clara Allen and Frances Gillory; and a brother James “Bo” Mullins.
Pallbearers were Donavon Blaylock, Michael Johnson, Timothy Pearson, Cory Perkins, Charles Storey and Andy Walters.
