James Alvin Boozer
Memorial services for James Alvin Boozer, 76, of Grenada, are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27, at the Way of Life Fellowship Hall in Grenada.
James died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, at his home.
He was born on Nov. 2, 1942, in Arkansas and was the son of the late James Rolandus Boozer and Hattie Leora Thornsberry Boozer.
James worked as a commercial fisherman and as a mechanic. He attended Way of Life Ministries in Grenada.
James was preceded in death by his parents; one son Jeffrey Ronald Boozer; and three sisters, Jerrel Dean Boozer Moore, Phyllis Ann Boozer and Cloteen Boozer.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Boozer of Grenada; three sons, James (Jamie) Alvin Boozer Jr. of Mountain View, Ark., Joe Boozer of Grenada and Jeremy Boozer of Gulfport; two sisters, Doris Boozer Tartt of Elliott and Glenda Gale Boozer Steed of Grenada; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Jerry Lamar Farish
Jerry Lamar Farish, 67, a retired truck owner and electrician/maintenance employee at SA, died Dec. 13, 2018, at his home.
Visitation is Thursday, Dec. 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home in Clarksdale. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Meredith-Nowell Chapel with burial in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Midtown Memphis. Mr. Farish was a member of the Elks Lodge, Knights of Columbus, VFW in Clarksdale and Marine Corps League in Clarksdale. He served his country in Vietnam with the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Farish is survived by his sons Heath Farish (Jamie) of Coldwater and Mac Barnes of Nashville; daughter Crystal Rambo (Keith) of Walls; mother Velma Lowe Farish of Grenada; brother Billy Farish (Donita) of Saginaw, Texas; sister Laverne Lawton of Grenada and grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Farish, Brooke Rambo, Cannon Rambo, Michael Barnes and Rachel Barnes.
He was preceded in death by his father George Jacob Farish; brother Tommy Farish and sister Joyce Moorman.
