Grenada man dies in standoff with law officers

A Yalobusha County Sheriff’s Deputy has been placed on administrative leave following an officer involved shooting that left a Grenada man dead.
The Yalobusha County Sheriff’s Department identified the man as Michael Taylor, 40, of Grenada, who was killed during a standoff at a home just outside of Water Valley Saturday afternoon.
According to Yalobusha County Sheriff Lance Humphrey, deputies responded to a call for a domestic incident at a home just outside Water Valley around 3:30 p.m., on Saturday. Humphrey said dispatchers could hear gunshots over the line when the call came through.
