Fast start sends Chargers past Pats

Heading into Friday’s road division game at Lewisburg, Grenada High School Coach Ashley Kuhn really didn’t know what to expect from his team.
They were eliminated from playoff contest with a home loss to West Point. With two games left and no playoff berth on the line, the GHS coach wondered what kind off effort he would get from his team.
It didn’t take long for Kuhn to get his answer.
The Chargers scored on their first three possessions building a 21-0 lead in the opening period. After that, GHS missed some scoring opportunities and still won a 21-7 decision.
With the win, Grenada improves to 4-7 overall and 2-4 inside Region 1-5A. Lewisburg drops to 2-8 overall and 0-6 inside the region.
