Bright spots for GHS in loss

Grenada High School Coach Ashley Kuhn knew that his team had a huge challenge ahead of them against two-time defending Class 5A champion.
The Chargers needed a win to keep their dim playoff hopes alive. West Point jumped to a 21-3 halftime advantage and won  38-17.
With the win, West Point improves to 8-1 overall. Grenada drops to 3-7 and 1-4 inside the region.
Despite the loss, the eighth-year head coach saw a lot of positives in the contest.
“We moved the ball the best we have all year against a really good defense,” Kuhn said. “I saw a lot of good things out of (Josh) Phillips and (Demarquese) Gibson at quarterback.”
