All day Saturday starting at 9 a.m. attendees will experience a wide variety of live musical performances ranging from bluegrass to indie rock to psychedelic pop.
“Everything is looking good, and we’re ready to roll for this fifth year,” said organizer Isabella Kinder.
Spectators and visitors can browse the fine art exhibit or chow down on some great food from Mississippi food trucks.
Kinder said visitors should also stick around for the workshops, in topics such as; tech, entrepreneurship, and cosplay.
Concert starts Friday
The official kickoff for the festival will start Friday night when rock band The Players perform on the Square.
According to Nick Liberto, committee member with the Downtown Jubilee, The Players’ are scheduled to perform from 6:30 p.m. until 10:30.
The Players’ performance at the Jubilee was postponed due to lightning and rain, and this weekend was the best rescheduling date with the AfterGlow crowd heading downtown.
