The Grenada County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a home invasion and is warning people in the Holcomb area to call 911 if they see anyone suspicious around their property.
The investigation stems from a Saturday morning incident in which a Carroll County man was arrested and charged with several felony charges.
Investigator Josh Dale identified the man as William L. Barry, 45, of Carrollton who was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, burglary of a dwelling, breaking and entering and attempted rape.
According to Dale, deputies responded to a call around 5:30 a.m. at a home on Sparta Road just south of Holcomb.
