William ‘Dub’ Waldrep Memorial Here

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Mr. Waldrep at 2 p.m.,

Thursday, August 30, at the First United Methodist Church in Grenada.

William “Dub” Waldrep of Grenada, Mississippi, formerly of Wynne, died on Friday, August 17, 2018 at his residence; he was 83.

Dub was born in Wynne, Arkansas on October 12, 1934 to the late Oscar and Iva Cook Waldrep. He was a retired cotton broker and had lived in Wynne, Memphis, and Grenada, Mississippi for the last 37 years. He was a member of the Memphis Cotton Exchange and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Grenada. He served his country in the United State Army.

He is survived by his niece, Jackie Duncan Pace of Irvine, California and two grandnieces, Jennifer Pace and Stephanie Lacalle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Iva Waldrep, and sisters, Reba Waldrep Duncan, Nina Chalmers, Betty Walker, Ida Lea Diebold, Evelyn Waldrep, and Lillian “Bug” Hubbard.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Cogbill Cemetery, in Wynne, with Dr. Reverend Glenn Pettus officiating.
