It became apparent early in Friday’s Grenada-Cleveland Central contest that the Chargers wouldn’t have much problem.
They scored 21 first quarter points and cruised to a 40-8 win over the Wolves.
The win helps GHS even their mark at 1-1.
“After we lost a starter in warmup and our best player early in the game, we were just trying to get through the game,” Kuhn said. “We were able to get a big lead by half. We played the junior varsity for the second half.”
The Chargers ran for three touchdowns and passed for two more. Christian Wortham and Emmanuel Forbes both had scoring receptions.
“We were able to throw the ball pretty good,” Kuhn said. “Some of that was forced because of the injuries. “Wortham made a great adjustment on his touchdown. The big thing was we had some protection breakdowns to clean up.”
