With one of the most experienced teams in some time, the Grenada Lady Chargers have seen all kinds of games.
They came from behind twice to sweep Calhoun City recently.
Tuesday, they faced Clinton in a doubleheader at Lady Charger Field.
After Clinton jumped to a 3-0 lead after an inning, GHS found themselves trailing 4-3 heading into the fourth inning of the opening game. Two runs in the fourth and fifth inning were the difference as the Lady Chargers took an 8-5 decision.
Game 2 was a different game. Grenada scored four runs in the first and sixth innings winning a 10-2 decision.
With the wins, the Lady Chargers are 6-0 on the season.
“We never pressed when we got behind,” Coach Leslie Lancaster said. “Our girls have been through all types of games. We just went to work on offense and managed to score enough runs.”
