Chargers look to bounce back against Cleveland Central

Things weren’t all bad last week for the Grenada Chargers.
They did lose a 7-0 decision to Christian Brothers. But, eighth year coach Ashley Kuhn saw a lot of positives in the contest.
“We had a lot to build on from Friday night,” Kuhn said. “For a loss, we came out of there with a lot of confidence. Our guys played hard, and we had a chance to win against a quality opponent.”
The positives were there. That being said, mistakes, at crucial times, were the difference in the game.
“We got a lot to fix on offense,” Kuhn said. “Special teams struggled, and we had too many stupid penalties. Those are two things, we need to clean up.”
Youth showed its ugly head in the season opener. Grenada had an entire sophomore special team group. A number of younger players were getting their first big starts of their career.
