Chargers fall in scrimmage

Grenada High School football coach Ashley Kuhn was pleased and disappointed following his team’s two-quarter jamboree against Southaven at Miss. State’s Davis-Wade Stadium Saturday.
He was pleased because the half football gave the coaching staff an evaluation heading into Friday’s home opener with Christian Brothers. His disappointment came in two areas.
The Chargers came out of the gate quick with 10 straight points. Then, they started playing younger players. Southaven rallied to win a 20-10 decision.
“We didn’t have much of an effort after the first two drives of the game,” Kuhn said. “We didn’t block well.”
