Sherry L. Daniels

Funeral services for Sherry L. Daniels of Grenada are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Clark-Williams Funeral Home with burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Daniels, 42, died of natural causes in Jackson on July 22, 2018. She was born on April 11, 1976.
Ms. Daniels is survived by her father Marshall Philips of Grenada; daughter Jamesia Stewart of Grenada; son Reginald Daniels of Grenada; two sisters, Demetria Daniels of Fort Smith, Ark., and Teresa DeGruy of New Orleans; three brothers, Marshall Philips Jr. of Los Angeles, Malcolm Philips of Jackson and Reginald Daniels of Grenada.

John William Greenhaw

Mr. John William Greenhaw, 81, of Grenada, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at his daughter’s residence.
He was born March 20, 1937, in Huntsville, Ala., to Alvia Lee Colman Greenhaw and Lena Estelle Gwatney Greenhaw.  He was a retired diesel mechanic and a faithful member of the Stonefield Church of God.  John was an accomplished musician and enjoyed playing the guitar and harmonica in local churches for over 70 years. He loved working on tractors in his yard in his spare time, and if he had to be inside, he enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball. His faith in God was strong and it showed each and every day to everyone around him. Most called him Johnny. but he loved it the most when you called him “Papa.”
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 27, at Stonefield Church of God with Pastors Mark Moore and Farrell Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from noon until service time Friday at the church.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy L. Greenhaw and Stacy Blake (Chris), all of Grenada; two sisters, Sarah Peace of Laceys Springs, Ala., and Annie Ruth Johnson of Atlanta; two brothers, Elvia Greenhaw of Tupelo and Oliver Greenhaw of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Evan, Zach (Jennifer), Hayz and Drew McClain; and five great-grandchildren, Malori, Alysa, Aleya and Kaysen McClain and Rylan Hodges.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mary B. Greenhaw and a daughter Marie Greenhaw.
Pallbearers will be Chris Blake, Drew McClain, Hayz McClain, Zach McClain, Evan McClain and Marshall Ballard.

William Richard Lang

Mr. William Richard Lang, 68, of Holcomb, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center-Grenada.
He was born Feb. 5, 1950. in Belzoni to William Francis and Hilda Wooten Lang. He was a retired sales rep with United Rentals. Mr. Lang was an avid hunter and fisherman and always enjoyed attending horse shows. He will be fondly remembered for his love for his family and his ability to never meet a stranger.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 27, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with the Rev. Kevin Tribble officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Friday at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include his wife Patsy Lang; daughter Renee Lang Aldridge (Jonathan) of Little Rock, and son Bill Lang.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Glenn Lang.

Pearlie B. Townes Pearson

Funeral services for Pearlie B. Townes Pearson of Grenada are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Abundant Life Assembly of the Apostolic Faith Church with burial in Haven Rest Cemetery.
Mrs. Pearson, 86, died of natural causes at UMMC-Jackson on July 23, 2018. She was born on Feb. 13, 1932. and enjoyed cooking and sewing.
Mrs. Pearson is survived by three daughters, Sadie Jones and Margaret Pearson, both of Milwaukee, Wis., and Pearlie Ingram of Grenada; and three sons, Andrew Pearson of Milwaukee; Timothy Pearson and Jerry Pearson, both of Grenada.
