In a few short weeks, students will head back to the classroom, but parents must first handle some registration steps.
This year, the Grenada School District is requiring that parents register their children online through the district’s Active Parent webpage.
According to Lynne Russell, the school district’s Administrative Operations Officer, parents who are registering their children must have an Active Parent account.
“Active Parent is part of our Student Database program. Parents can access their child’s grades, discipline, homework, and attendance as it is entered into the student database,” Russell said.
The website is https://ms2220.activeparent.net.
For all new students registering, parents are required to submit an original birth certificate, an original Social Security card, a Mississippi Certificate Immunization Compliance, and two proofs of residency.
Returning students are also required register on Active Parent.
Aug. 6 has been designated as the day students will meet teachers.
The first day of school is Tuesday, Aug. 7.
