Mary Pearson Golliday

Funeral services for Mary P. Golliday of Grenada are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Battle Temple Church of God in Christ with burial in Haven Rest Cemetery.
Mrs Golliday, 93, died of natural causes on June 21, 2018, at Grenada Living Center. She was born on July 24, 1924. Mrs. Golliday was a retiree of Grenada Public School District and enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing.
Mrs. Golliday is survived by three daughters, Mary M. Wiley of Sardis, Susanne Latham of San Diego, and Lois Lee of Madison; sister Georgia M. McClain of Grenada and three brothers, Anderson Pearson and Francis R. Pearson, both of Grenada, and Vollie Pearson.

Margaret Mitchell Mack

Funeral services for Margaret Lee Mitchell Mack of Grenada are Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Birth M.B. Church with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Mack, 89, died of natural causes on June 24, 2018, at UMMC-Grenada. She was born on Sept. 18, 1928. Mrs. Mack enjoyed sewing.
Mrs. Mack is survived by four daughters, Diana Salley and Ristoria Mack, both of Grenada, Versie Lee Wallace of Memphis and Geneva Farmer of Clinton.

Charity Suzanne McClendon

Charity Suzanne McClendon, 48, of Poplarville, died June 25, 2018, in University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson.
Charity was born Aug. 17, 1969, in Poplarville to Rudy and Margaret Cheryle Albritton McClendon.
In addition to her mother, her stepmother Carolyn Hayward Taylor McClendon, precedes her in death.
Family members include her father Rudy (Jo) McClendon; three siblings, Dawn (Brad) Riels, George (Paula) McClendon, Scott (Kim) McClendon; three step-siblings, Cooper and Lisa; Judith, Elizabeth and Daniel; David; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be at White Funeral Home, 315 Highway 11 South, Poplarville, on Friday, June 29, at noon. The Rev. Roger Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

James Charles Morgan

Mr. James Charles Morgan, 77, of Grenada, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 at his residence.
He was born April 12, 1941, in Tallahatchie County to James Lee and Viola Jones Morgan. Charles retired as a group leader at Heatcraft in Grenada after working there for many years. He was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church where he served on the Security Team and officiated numerous Upward Basketball games.
Charles had previously served as Constable in Grenada County for 12 years. He was an avid gardener and deer hunter and will be remembered for his many years of involvement in coaching and umpiring baseball.
Funeral services were Wednesday at Friendship Baptist Church in Grenada with Dr. Bob Self and Dr. Jim Nunnelee officiating.Interment followed in the Grenada Memorial Garden.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years Norma Morgan; two sons, Lee Morgan and Lyle Morgan, both of Oxford; one sister Peggy Morgan Little (Earl) of Southaven and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers were Purvis Lane, Adam Milner, Jack Milner, Samy McCracken, Don Thomas and Steve Thomas.
