Man shot by deputy dies; identified

A man shot by a Grenada County deputy Monday has died.
The man has been identified by authorities as William Shawn Mann, age unknown, and according to Grenada County Sheriff Alton Strider, he died shortly before noon at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada.
Mann was shot on Carrollton Road after deputies answered a call shortly after 5:30 a.m.
According to the sheriff’s department, the State Crime Lab is performing an autopsy and toxicology reports.
