The Rev. Russell Amos

Funeral services for the Rev. Russell Amos of Grenada are Friday at 11 a.m. at Bethel Cathedral of Faith Church with burial in North Mississippi State Veterans’ Cemetery.
The Rev. Amos, 85, died of natural causes at Grace Health and Rehab on June 2, 2018. He was born on June 3, 1932.
The Rev. Amos is survived by his wife Dollie Ann Amos of Grenada; eight daughters, Catherine Amos of Grenada, Darlene Abdulak of New Jersey, Michelle Bass and Elgina Shelton, both of Joliet, Ill., Evelyn Askew, Edna A. Williamson, Patricia Johnson and Geraldine Amos, all of Memphis; four sons, Sylvester Amos of Ruleville, Marvis R. Amos Jr. of Houston, Texas, Russell Amos III of Joliet, Ill., and Sammie Kelly of Grenada; two sisters, Elizabeth Spights of Joliet, Ill., and Ellen M. McMillon of Grenada; and two brothers, George Amos Jr. of Joliet, Ill., and Willie Amos of Arizona.

Mary S. Gordon

Funeral services for Mary S. Gordon of Duck Hill are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant M. B. Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Gordon, 75, died of natural causes at her home on June 4, 2018. She was born on March 30, 1943.
Mrs. Gordon is survived by her daughter Sarah Farmer of Duck Hill; four sons, Donald Gordon and Jamacia Gordon, both of Duck Hill, Clifton Gordon of Wadena, Minn., and Lee Gordon of Grenada; a sister Cassie Edwards,

Jimmy Lynn Hill

Mr. Jimmy Lynn Hill, 61, of Grenada, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford.
He was born April 29, 1957, in San Francisco to James William and Jean Jackson Hill. He had spent most of his working life as a cabinet maker and truck driver. Jimmy was a member of Shield of Faith Worship Center and will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with the Rev. Bob Tatum officiating.  Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include his mother Jean Hill of Grenada; one sister Belinda Bradshaw of Grenada; two brothers, James William “Jamie” Hill Jr. and his wife Pam of Batesville, and David Hill and his wife Wanda of Sullivan, Ill., and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father James William Hill.

Charles E. Williams

Funeral services for Charles E. Williams of Grenada, formerly of Coila, are Saturday at Pentecostal Temple COGIC with burial in Williams Cemetery.
Mr. Williams, 57, died on May 29, 2018. He was born on Jan. 1, 1961. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife Robbie Williams of Grenada; daughter Laterka Williams of Grenada; three sisters, Gladys Woodley and Betty Brown, both of Lexington, and Joyce Jackson of Carrollton; four brothers, Garvin Williams of Grenada, Beaufeous Williams of Georgia, James Otis Williams of Carrollton and Willie James Ewing of New Jersey.                                                                                                        Clark-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of services.
