The Grenada Police Department is still investigating a Thursday night accident that killed a 26-year-old Grenada woman.
Grenada Police Chief Garrett Hartley identified the woman as Mercedes Sellers.
Captain Carnell Farmer said the accident occurred around 7:30 near the South Commerce Street intersection at Jackson Avenue and Mondy Road.
“The vehicle she was driving left the road and hit a light pole and then collided with a tree,” Farmer said.
