Blonde wig aids in investigation

Two women are facing shoplifting charges, and their cover was blown when one of the ladies was seen removing her wig.
The incident happened last Monday night at a local department store when the Grenada Police Department was called about a possible shoplifting.
When officers arrived the store manager informed the police that a woman in the parking lot was acting suspicious.  After police detained the first woman, the store manager described to  officers another woman as, “heavyset, wearing leggings, a flowery dress and wearing a blonde wig.”
Officers then located a vehicle with a Calhoun County tag parked at the shopping strip on Jameson Drive.  Soon after, officers apprehended a second woman at a women’s department store that fit the description except for the blonde wig.
