The University of Mississippi Medical Center has named Wes Sigler as the new chief executive officer for its Grenada and Lexington campuses.
According to Kevin Cook, University Health System CEO and Dr. Charles O’Mara, associate vice chancellor for clinical affairs, Sigler will begin his duties on May 14.
“We are thrilled Wes is joining the UMMC family,” Cook said. “He is an experienced hospital administrator and will be an outstanding addition to the team. Wes will have a big impact on the organization and the Grenada and Holmes County communities.”
Sigler will fill the vacancy left by Bill Buck, who was under a 60-day contract as interim CEO. Sigler will be the third CEO this year since the resignation of Don Hutson who left Grenada in February.
