Wreck claims life of student

A local teen was killed in a Sunday morning in a car accident just south of Winona.
Montgomery County Coroner Alan Pratt identified the teenager as 17-year-old Robert Crisman Campbell III.

According to Pratt, emergency personnel were dispatched to Mississippi Highway 407 at 3:50 a.m.

Pratt said the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department and the Winona Fire Department responded to the scene.

“This was a single car accident, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene,” Pratt said.
