CEO Hutson leaving hospital

At the end of the month Don Hutson will leave his position as the Chief Executive Officer for the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada.

Hutson told the GrenadaStar he has accepted a new position as President and CEO of the Harrisburg Medical Center in Harrisburg, Ill. Hutson said he starts his new job on March 12.
Hutson, who has served as CEO for UMMC Grenada for the past two years, said he notified the UMMC Leadership of his decision on Feb. 1.

Harrisburg is a town in Southern Illinois and Hutson said he and his family will soon be relocating to that area.

“It has been an honor serving with the dedicated professionals at UMMC Grenada,” Hutson said. “These individuals are committed to delivering high-quality, safe, and compassionate healthcare to this community.”

According to officials at the UMMC main campus in Jackson the search for a new leader at the Grenada site is underway.
