The Grenada Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that this year’s Christmas Parade will be held on a Saturday.
The 2017 Christmas Parade is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 2, at two o’clock.
According to Wanda Thompson, administrative assistant at the chamber, this year’s new date is a result of trying to give the parade a resurgence in the number of floats entered.
“We’ve been listening to the people in Grenada, and what we’re trying to do is get the numbers back up,” Thompson said. “We’re going to try this, and we’re asking everyone to be a part of this.”
This year’s theme to is “Christmas Through the Eyes of a Child,”
The line up will begin at 1 p.m., and judging will start at 1:30.
