Officials have some leads on the report of a “fake cop” in western Grenada County, but no arrest has been made.
After a Satillo man was nearly forced off of Highway 8 near Holcomb recently, the Grenada County Sheriff’s Department said they’re on the lookout.
“We’ve had a few leads here and there, but we’re still looking,” Grenada County Sheriff Alton Strider said.
The “fake cop,” according to authorities drives a black Dodge Charger and poses as law enforcement. The vehicle is equipped with police lights.
Earlier this month there were other reports of the black Charger attempting to pull women over in their cars. Many of those reports have come from further west on Highway 8 near Ruleville in Sunflower County and Minter City in Leflore County.
