Police have arrested a 19-year-old in connection with the shooting death of Lonell Diggins early Thursday morning.
Assistant Police Chief Maj. George Douglas identified the man arrested as Mikal Rosenthal of Grenada.
Douglas said Rosenthal is charged with manslaughter and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Diggins was shot and killed inside of a home on Jackson Avenue in the early morning hours. When police arrived at the home, around 4:45, Diggins was pronounced dead at the scene. He was only 16 years-old. Douglas said he had been shot and was lying on the floor.
Rosenthal is currently being held at the Grenada County Jail, and his bond was set at $100,000 on Friday morning.
