Wrecks kill 4 Grenadians

A Grenada family lost three members in a crash in Tennessee last week.

According to the Jackson Sun, the three were identified as Gregory Sledge, 38; Tommy Sledge, 58; and Joretha Sledge, 61, all of Grenada.

In all, according to the newspaper, 10 vehicles were involved in  the crash along Interstate 40 in Decatur County, Tenn., about 150 miles northeast of Memphis.

In Grenada,  a local man died in a wreck on Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Police said  Jaylon D. Pittman, 26, of Grenada, died as a result of the crash Friday night. Douglas said Pittman was the driver of a Mercury Grand Marquis.
