A Grenada man took a sharp knife to the chest during an apparent a domestic dispute during the weekend.
Assistant Police Chief George Douglas identified the victim as Jessie Swims, 33, of Grenada.
Douglas said police arrested a woman he identified as LaShun Shaw, 36, in connection with the stabbing.
“We’re still investigating this incident,” Douglas said. “The victim was treated at the local hospital, but we don’t know of his condition at the time.”
Police responded to the domestic violence call in the 900 block of Adams Street around 8:30 a.m. Sunday. When they arrived police discovered the victim stabbed once in the chest.
