A chapter has closed on the 2014 murder of a 33-year-old woman in Grenada.
James Hosea Williams pleaded guilty to manslaughter last week in Grenada Circuit Court.
Fifth Circuit Judge Joseph Loper set a sentencing date for Feb. 2.
Williams’ manslaughter plea came after he was indicted by the grand jury for the murder of Candice D. Davis. She was found unresponsive in her apartment on the 300 block of Main Street in February 2014.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene, and Williams was arrested in Memphis the following day.
